Pioneering synthetic biology since 2013

For Newcomers

What is
iGEM?

The International Genetically Engineered Machine competition is the premier undergraduate synthetic biology competition in the world, bringing together over 400 teams from 40+ countries each year.

Lambert iGEM is one of the few American high school teams in the world's premier synthetic biology competition. Since 2013, our students have gained real laboratory experience, published research, and developed skills in molecular biology, computational modeling, and science communication.

Our Mission

To inspire the next generation of scientists through hands-on synthetic biology research, community outreach, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We believe that high school students can drive real scientific innovation and make contributions that matter.
